After releasing the Refuge/White Room Single in July, here is the second sign of life after the band’s hiatus in 2018. The upcoming album “Based on a true story- Best of EWR”, scheduled in October, is based on the concept of a fresh restart.
The idea behind the 2022 Versions of the songs was:
How would the band perform them today ?
This time main songwriter in the band Thomas Elbern, rearranged and reimagined the song “Schnitterlied”, that was orginally released in 1995 on his soloalbum, in a brand new electronic Escape with Romeo Version.
Also “When the hammer comes down”, originally released on the Pink turns Blue debut “If two worlds kiss” in 1987, becomes an unexpected EWR Version.
This single is the second of a series of digital releases, that marks the return of the Dark Alternative Band, that was founded in Cologne/Germany in 1989.
